I have started packing. This week has gone by faster than most expected. I’ve met new friends, seen new places, and even tasted turtle chowder (I will never get over that chowder!). The best part of this expereince was learning abot journalism and media from some of the greatest in the field. I don’t want to comment on every speaker, but they were knowledgealbe and kind enough to take time out of their already hectic schedules to educate us.
However, I didn’t enjoy how we went to some places that I felt were a waste of time. It’s great to “sight see”, but I came here to learn. I wish we could have learned a lot more this week. The speakers, although gracious, were repetitive from one to the other. More integration into this conference was needed, but I greatly enjoyed it overall. The staff and my adviser, Ms. Amy Poe (Po Po) have been wonderful. Thank you!
